Die Posduif
Die Posduif is the official bulletin of Wilgers Retirement Village and is published on the 25th of each month. It started back in 2013 as a four-page pamphlet compiled by management.
After that it became the responsibility of our residents, with the ultimate formation of an editorial committee in 2017. It now regularly features no less than 16 pages of content!
In 2019, Die Posduif ended 2nd in a national competition for similar newsletters.
The primary aim of the bulletin is still to serve information, news, and interesting things within our community to our community. However, today you will find residents and staff contributing creative pieces, articles, regular columns, and opinion letters.
As well as some humour, games, and the occasional quotable quote. Local businesses support the printing costs through advertising. For day-to-day matters there is also the Friday Flyer, a weekly bilingual newsletter of all the latest in the village.
